Candidates must have obtained five (5) credits at not more than two sittings in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and any other two subjects at SSCE, GCE and other recognized O’Level examinations of recognized bodies. A pass in Economics may be considered provided the candidate has a credit pass either in accounting or Commerce.
For Direct Entry into the 200 Level , in addition to the O’Level requirements above, candidates must possess passes in 3 WAEC/GCE/Cambridge Advanced Level (A ‘Level) Certificate with a Minimum of C, which must include Accounting, Mathematics and Economics. In addition, ATS 3/ATSWA 3/Fundamental Level of Professional Examination/ACCA passes in F1, F2, F3, F4/OND-Minimum of Upper Credit/HND-Minimum of Lower Credit may be admitted into 200L of our accounting programme.
Direct Entry (300 Level)
HND in relevant discipline with at least upper credit in addition to five credit
passes as stated above.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR B.Sc COMPUTER SCIENCE
The minimum academic requirements are credit level passes in at least five subjects at O’ level in nationally recognized examination including English Language Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and other acceptable science subject at not more than two sittings. It is also desirable for candidate to pass Further Mathematics and technical Drawing at credit level, such candidates shall have added advantage.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR MBA
Candidates for admission into the MBA degree progamme of the Department of Business Administration and Marketing should have: A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Marketing, or any other relevant discipline of Babcock University or any other University or institution of higher learning approved by the Senate of Babcock University (with second class lower and above) Or Professional Qualifications such as: ACA, ACCA, ANAN, ACMA, ACIT, AIB, ACIS, etc with first degree with no need to pass through qualifying exam, but have a minimum of one year work experience Candidates without prior work experience will have to undergo three months internship in any reputable business organization. The admission requirements into the undergraduate programmes of the department also apply (Credits in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and other two subjects. Credits in Commerce or Business methods may be acceptable in lieu of Economics).
Candidates may be required to write and pass a qualifying examination before admission. The qualifying admission will usually be a written test in Principles of Management/Marketing, General knowledge, and use of English. The examination will be a standard of the final year class of the B.Sc (Business/Marketing) degree programme.
